Michelle Poorman

Michele Poorman is a photographic artist from Harlesden, North-West London. Her work captures a longstanding passion for music, depicting live performances and posed shots of a variety of artists including Aswad, Shabba Ranks, NWA and Jay-Z, taken in the late ‘80s and  early ‘90s.

Michele’s work has been published in popular music magazines including Touch Magazine, Vibe Magazine, Rolling Stone and NME, national UK newspapers including The Sun, The Mirror and the Guardian, and online at BET.com. Her work has also featured in the NWA exhibit at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame museum in Cleveland, Ohio. A book of Michele’s work is currently being produced.
